FGCV Hosts NEGC Annual Meeting
FGCV hosted the New England Garden Clubs October 13-14 at Killington Grand Hotel and Resort. In celebration of America's 250 Anniversary, the theme was “Our Vermont Green Mountains: Nurturing the Birth of the Republic.” In celebration of our country’s 250th anniversary, the event showcased New England’s unique gardening history. Over 20 posters were submitted to highlight New Englands
Over 100 people have participated in the event along withare 15 vendors.
Blue Star Marker Dedication
DEDICATION OF THE BLUE STAR MEMORIAL MARKER ~ May 27th, 2025

Presented by the Federated Garden Club of Vermont, Inc.
The Blue Star Program honors all men and women that serve in the United States Armed Services. This program began with the planting of 8,000 Dogwood trees by the New Jersey Council of Garden Clubs in 1944 as a living memorial to veterans of World War ll. In 1945, the National Council of State Garden Clubs (now NGC, Inc) adopted this program and began a Blue Star Highway system that covers thousands of miles across Continental United States, Alaska, and Hawaii.
