Isaac Bissell, the Vermont Conservation Stewardship Director from the Vermont Housing & Conservation Board, spoke about his role within the organization and his work across the Vermont landscape. He discussed the goals of Act 59, which aims for Vermont to conserve 30% of its land by 2030 and 50% by 2050.

While Isaac is "buzzing" across the state he also finds time to work on his passion project of pollinator photography. He shared some of his close-up photos of bees and wasps pollinating on flowers. He has accumulated over 20,000 photos for his own reference of identification of the species.

Denise Greene and Melissa Jordan from Pollinator Pathway of Lamoille County shared a talk and slide show with resources on planting public and private pesticide-free corridors of native plants that provide nutrition and habitat for pollinating insects and birds.

On December 5th, members of the BGC Board welcomed four new members to a holiday brunch hosted by Linda Lane. Attendees enjoyed a delicious buffet and shared gardening stories. A common theme was gratitude for friendships made in the Club- old and new.
