BGC Annual Meeting & Luncheon
The Burlington Garden Club’s Annual Meeting and Luncheon was held on June 24, 2025 at the Delta Hotel in South Burlington. The room was beautifully adorned with purple linens and spectacular centerpieces designed by member Jean Henshaw. A Silent Auction was organized by Linda Lane and Darilyn Peters included some fun items to bid on including two beautiful hanging plants donated by Claussens.
During the Business Meeting, BGC President Jody Gendron, reminded members that social networks have far reaching value. “Whether we volunteer in the gardens or on a committee, whether we join in a garden event or a project, or whether we serve as a chair or on the executive board, we are connecting with others and benefiting…it’s the experience that counts.” To exemplify the many contributions made by BGC members, Linda Lane presented the State and National Awards. Along with introducing new members, eight members with 25+ years experience in the club were recognized.
After a wonderful lunch, members enjoyed speaker Jana Milbocker, author and garden designer, who presented a captivating slideshow with her own insider tips on public and private gardens to visit in New England.
Special thanks to Linda Lane and Barb Gaida for arranging and organizing this year’s Annual luncheon.
